Lost

Well, anyone who knows me knows that I'm always lost! But I will share the story about my trip to the White Plains Galleria. I was about 18, so of course I knew everything! I took Lee and her mom with me to go Christmas shopping. We left before noon time and we were going to get lunch at the mall...I was driving my Chevy Citation...so proud of my "new" car. Well, Julie had written directions for me and to my defense I did read the first part. She said "take the Taconic", well that was all I thought I needed to know until I got to White Plains, so I threw them in the back seat and away we went. There was music and laughter....until we got to the White Plains exit and I asked Lee what the next part of the directions were. Of course we realized I had gone way too far and somehow needed to find a way to turn around. Being a bit of a timid driver, this was near impossible. So a few turns here a few miles there, we ended up in Connecticut! To this day I have no idea how we did that. It was getting late, nobody could give us directions we could understand, there were no cell phones...so we had to just keep going along. I remember stopping at a rest stop at one point so we could go to the bathroom and maybe find a vending machine. We were starving! Eventually we found our way home, we dropped Mrs. Vincent off and Lee and I went to the South Hills mall. We did finish our Christmas shopping that night, thank goodness because the car we were in caught fire a few days later and I'm just greatful it didn't happen then!!! Anyone up for a trip to the mall with me?

so funny you and Stacey had almost the same story about going to a mall and ending up in a different state! Very funny! Did you ever hear the story of Bob going over the hudson river 3x to get to Myrtle Beach??
