Mom... Happy Birthday

What a great month for our family!

So things are still going great here in MD. Jake makes me laugh.... lost an ipod connector to our new surround sound while cleaning, so he spent 30 min in the dumpster looking for it. Didn't come back with the ipod connector, but a string of jack-o-lantern halloween lights. haha. He is very excited about them. ( he wants me to let you know, they all work!)

Our relationship with Gary is growing. We met his parents. I know what you are all thinking.. "is it moving too fast?" "meeting his parents within the first month"... but i guarantee it will still work out! haha.

We went to the orioles/yankees game last fri night with him and his daughter and his dad. It was a great game. His daughter is kind of a monster. Like, a full spoiled brat. I was eating cotton candy and she was hysterical because it wasn't hers.(not to mention she had just had an entire thing of ice cream 10 min before)
She didn't want her own...she wanted mine, and not the blue part ( which is what i shared with her) but the pink part on the bottom of the bag!

Then it was the most amazing intense part of the game, last inning, we're down 2, bases loaded, 2 strikes, 2 outs, everyone on their feet in anticipation and Gary goes, Can you take her to the bathroom? I'm like, "are your serious? Can she wait". So...i seriously RAN to the bathroom where it turns out she DOESNT EVEN HAVE TO GO! Wow!

We ended up going to a pumpkin patch with them the next day, and picked pumpkins and tomatoes and apples. It was the perfect weather, and it was really fun just walking around, and picking stuff out and being with Jake. Gary and his wife really are the sweetest. I like being with them. I just don't have the patience for Sylvia.

In the car she kept saying how she needed a drink because she was thirsty. After a few times of this, and some crying, she screams at her parents, "Dont make me tell you one more time that I need some juice" (she is 4) My kid would have been smacked right up side the head for that comment, but they didn't do anything.

Of course she HAS to love me, and feel the need to hold my hand all the time, and sit next to me. I'm sure you can all imagine me TRYING to be nice. They took us out for dinner and I had fajitas and wanted to save some for lunch on sun and i had 2 tortillas and I was all set. Then Syliva saw that I had them and wanted one. She asked me, and I said NO. Because, first of all, I really wanted them for Sunday lunch and I was kinda sick of how she has to get her way all the time. So, she starts crying, and I don't care. Gary is trying to tell me how much she loves tortilla's, and I honestly don't care if she married the tortillas, I wasn't going to give her one. So they ordered some for her. Its almost like she didn't want the ones ordered cause she JUST wanted to eat the ones that I had. What a little manipulator. Then she says, "well, I'm not going to give you a mint now" (which are free and by the door on the way out)

so.... hopefully my love will grow for her. 4 year olds were never my thing to begin with. Thats why I teach high school.

Anyway. Jake and i really like our wanrd and love our apartment and want everyone to come and visit! okay??

love you all!!
