It's Always An Adventure

Yesterday was our day to work at the Temple in Manhattan. Jess had to work so I had Charly in the morning and Karen Wall watched her in the afternoon. (oh, Aunt Vicki came for lunch which was really nice.) Dad took the motorcycle to Manhattan and I was to get on the train and get to the Temple by 5 p.m. (IF all went according to plan, which is really hard, because a few minute would have made the difference of me getting the train or not). Well, we had lunch at the Dailey Planet and I was able to leave there by 1:45 p.m. Got to Walls by 2 p.m., left there by 2:15 and got to the train station and on the next train to NY. It was really nice. I prepared my Sunday School lesson and talked to grandma. I got to Grand Central. Found my way to the Times Square Shuttle and then to the 1 train going up to Lincoln Center. I was really proud of myself because I never did that before. I was dressed in my white clothes and ready to work by 5 p.m. Iknow the Lord helped with all this and making it wor

Our Trip to Utah

Image
Wills first trip to Utah was a long one. We made it to Atlanta but getting to Utah from there was going to be impossible. So we ended up flying to Denver, then to SLC. What a long day! Will was making friends left and right and I would have to say that there are nice people out there, always willing to lend a hand to a mother traveling alone with her baby. He did really good on the flights, mostly sleeping. You can really see his personality coming through. I think we are going to be in trouble with this one, he was flirting with all of the ladies. We rode the frontliner while we were visiting. It's really neat and you make it into Salt Lake from Kaysville just over 20min. Not bad. He's still a little to small for this chair that hooks on the counter but he was full of smiles anyway. He's just too cute! It was really cold when we were visiting and we had to buy a jacket for him.

Sometimes Things Just Don't Work Out

Well - today was our day to go to the Temple. Dad went off to cut down Karen Kleidman's tree and I was doing my own thing (going to gym, etc). We were to leave to 11 a.m. because I had an errand to do in Westchester and dad had to give an estimate. You know the way things go around here, it was around 12:30 when we were finally ready to leave and I was throwing dad's stinky work clothes into the washer when I notice something wrong (it had dirty water in it) - so we had to call a plumber.......and call the temple to say we were going to make it after all. So - the plumbing job turned out larger than expected......it's thundering (because plan B was to take the motorcycle to Westchester). It will be interesting to see how the rest of the day turns out. Oh plus the plumber is grouchy. Ugh - I just had to write that grouchy plumber a check for $475! ugh................................... Tomorrow is Father's Day and Jess and Jeron's anniversary! I got dad the coolest g

Hot Days of Summer

Jess and I and Charly were enjoying our first really hot day! Hope you all are coping with the heat! What have you guys been up to??

This Weekend!

First off, it was Andrew's senior prom! All grown up and handsome! Kait looked beautiful as well!! Then dad, Charly and I went to the circus. Daddy was so tired, but being a good grandpa and an even better husband, he didn't mind too much. Then Saturday was the talent show at church and since our family was never one to pass up a talent show - we performed the Chicken Dance! And what's a chicken dance without a chicken!! Well, that's what dad was suppose to say, but instead he said, "Hello, I'm Johnny Cash!"
