Nourish The Tree

I am just hooked on Alma 32...I love the whole metaphor of the seed and the tree and the ground and the nourishing. We've got roots! That's for sure. The point I want to make is that the seed needs nourishment. And that is constant care, like reading the scriptures, prayer, being obedient, etc. etc. Dad and I feel a lot like Lehi in the Book of Mormon..."And as I partook of the fruit thereof it filled my soul with exceedingly great joy; wherefore, I began to be desirous that my family should partake of it also; for I knew that it was desirable above all other fruit." This weekend we had the opportunity to go to the Temple to be with Tommy Wall and Boomer Hawks and their families in the Temple as the boys prepare for their missions. Yesterday was an open house for Brandon Prettyman as he goes into the MTC on Wednesday. Each of these boys "glow." They are so excited and so happy about their mission calls. We now know that Will is going to keep us on our toes. He has now figured out how to get out of his bouncer chair. He was so proud of himself! The first time it took him about five scoots now he can do it in two.
