So Blessed!

Bryant starts his new job in Virginia on Monday. It's such a great blessing. He wanted a job with Volvo and that's exactly what he got. He has worked so hard in school, never missed a single day and even lost a lot of weight. He has just transformed himself into what he wanted (with the help of Kristie). We are so happy for them. Hopefully soon, they will post and put up some new pictures of where they are living. I can't wait to go and see them. Also, such a blessing that Stacey has a job for next year and that she found the perfect guy for her. We watched videos of her in her nursery school class showing off for dad and it all seemed like yesterday. Hard to imagine she is now done with college and about to affect the lives of young people. It's been me and Charly for the last few days. Grandpa is very busy with work and comes home late at night (like the old days when we had babies of our own). But Charly is fantastic, amazing and simply adorable and very a

The perfect Weekend!

Image
i loved spending the weekend with my favorite people doing my favorite things....scrabble, campfires, smores, being with the Hettingers, watching home videos, sitting on the deck, eating cheeseburgers, being with Jake everyday, dancing in the living room with jess... I needed this weekend really bad. The 7 hour drive back to maryland wasn't exactly part of the wonderfulness, but it was worth it. i really can't wait for this summer for more days like this.

I'm Exhausted!!

I've been watching Charly all day. She's a good girl, but babies are a lot of work. I'll post some pictures when I have time to put the batteries in my camera! haha

Daddy's and George's Birthday!

Image
The Birthday Boys Today is Daddy's Birthday! This whole week has been breathtaking! And today it's 90 and humid and the day he is in the yard digging and putting that retaining wall up. It could have gone up on Tuesday, but the town people thought we wanted to put the pool on the wall. Geeze. Wayne came on Wednesday night to fix the hole for the pool and then told dad he would come back on Thursday and tell him a short-cut way to do the retaining wall -- but dad waited all night --- and he never came. We hope he is all right. Anyway - it figures that on his birthday, in the heat, he is out there digging and building. We'll make it up to him this weekend. We are going to Shadows on the Hudson for dinner and then some birthday cake and camp fire in the yard. It's George's birthday too. I am so thrilled for Bryant and Kristie. Just about Kristie's whole family is going with them to Virginia!! That is so wonderful. They are really so supportive of every

Charly's big day

Image
So today I was at the gym like usual and charly was at the day care there..... where she is always the center of attention. After my yoga class i walked into the day care to pick her up and the lady who usually watches charly said to me "You didn't tell me she crawls now!"..... i look at her like "are you serious?", as she clasps her hand over her mouth and says " you didn't know??" ....."No thats news to me! she dosent even sit up yet by herself" Sure enough the lady put charly on the floor.... and with a Huge smile charly crawled to me.... well.....she didn't go too far before she collapsed and bumped her head on the floor. But sure enough She crawled! I was in shock!!! Still am. She suprises me everyday. Tonight i put my eye glasses on her and they were just resting on the tip of her nose..... She had me laughing so hard.... and she knew it was funny casue she started giggling too. I love that little girl.... we are all getting ver

The Bachelor

Well - I watched After the Rose Ceremony and Beven was fantastic! So Classy! I think I like her better than Tessa. More real. I don't care for Andy so I am glad he got Tessa - she seems high maintenance. I read somewhere that Tessa's grandpa is one of the richest men in Hong Kong. Then they showed some of the other girls from past seasons -- Princess Erica and Sadie the virgin - I think they were with Lorenzo - but who on earth did Lorenzo pick?? I really need to get a life!

Will Thursday Ever Come

Image
Jake comes on Thursday. I can barely stand it that its only Tuesday. We are going to the Baltimore Harbor for dinner, and then driving up to NY afterward for a family fun weekend! I'm excited for Jake to see the town, and to actually just be with him in the place we will be living next year! Today I went to a spinning class. I don't usually sweat much when I work out, but I was DRIPPING, and it felt so good. I think I lost a pound just from that class!!! There is nothing more satisfying to me than a really good workout! You just feel so good after it. AND I wanted BEVAN to win, and I think he was really in love with her. I think they would have been very happy together. I don't see it working out with Tessa. I'm lets be honest, when HAS it worked out. Does anyone remember FOR LOVE OR FOR MONEY? Wasn't that the best show! With all the twists and the happy ending. Yeah...pathetic how we love reality! Love ya all....

Slow Going with the Pool

So far - no permit and no pool. We'll see what happens by Friday. The hole is still there. Dad wants to building the retaining wall, but no on in the Town Hall can tell him how far away from the pool it has to be. Tomorrow we are going over there and hopefully we'll get some answers. Now didn't you think The Bachelor was going to pick Beven but changed his mind on the last day. I did

The Digger and Moose's Excellent Adventure

Image
Here are some photos from Wayne Corbin digging out the backyard for the pool. Bryant keeps asking, "Now where exactly are you putting it??" So here it is. Also, Dad was running errands for the materials to build the retain wall and he took Moose with him to Wayne's to get gravel or stone or something and Moose found the HUGEST MUDDIEST PUDDLE and laid in it!!! Dad couldn't get him out of it...Then Dad wouldn't let him back in the truck so Moose had run along side and he saw some horses so he ran through the ELECTRIC FENCE to go and see them....then he wouldn't come out of the electric fence and Dad had to grab him and pull him and pull him. Next errand, Moose stayed home! Tonight's the night! Who will the Bachelor pick. So excited for Bryant and Kristie --- another new chapter in their lives.

Dad's Birthday is Friday!

Well, dad's in the living room practicing his guitar! He tuned with the DVD and I impressed. Maybe I'll learn piano and we can start a little band. I hope he sticks with it. Friday is his birthday and he wants contact lenses - so that's my gift for him and I also want to find those sneakers with the wheels or maybe i'll save those for Father's Day. I hope he doesn't read this.

Good Ol' Virginia

Image
Kristie and I recently went to Virginia Beach to hopefully find a job. I had interviews at 2 different dealerships. One in Virginia Beach and one in Hampton which is 10min Northeast of Virginia Beach. They had me spent one whole day in the shop to see what it is like. There are a few kids from school that were there and my old neighbor who I went on motorcycle rides with was also there. The shop was cool, we had a Lamborghini come to the shop that day, it was sweet. Then on Thursday we went to the other shop and they showed me around and I talked to the service manager and the shop foreman and they really want me to come and work for them, so we will see what plays out. We also did a lot of apartment searching, so it was a really full time. The area is so beautiful, but we got lost so many times because there are no mountains and to many trees. But anyway that was our trip really fun.

i like texas

Image
hi Ya'll (thats what everyone says here in TX) Jeron and I have made great friends with Vanessa And Eder..... (jeron works with him) They are really down to earth and are SO good with charly. They are our age and both mexican.....(jeron fits right in with them... lol kidding) Last night the 4 1/2 of us went to a carnival.... we all took turns riding the rides and watching charly.... then we all stuffed our faces with corn on the cob, cotton candy (which charly loved), and caramel apples YUMM. we watched all the animals in the petting zoo, got fake tattoos (some things never get old) and just sat and talked. It was so fun. It just made me feel so good.....Just in the sense of me and jeron and charly being our own little family in Texas..... 100's of miles from where we were raised..........being on our own... not depending on anyone anymore.... and being so happy together. I feel like we have come so far from where we were 2 years ago... when I didn't eve

Calling All Angels

Today we went to the Temple and as I was in the changing room, Sister Hahn was talking about her experience to the Temple. You probably don't know Sister Hahn. She is Jamaican with a lot of energy. When I was first in training at the Temple - she would snap her fingers at me if I wasn't exactly right as if to tell me to get my act together. Well, today she was talking about on the walk to the temple she saw 2 young girls dragging a large suitcase because the handle was broken. Besides the suitcase they had lots of other luggage with them and it was raining. She helped them drag the suitcase a little and realized they were talking down to the subway, to Grand Central Station and then to the airport. She urged them to take a taxi to the train station but it was too expensive, and since she couldn't take them there herself, she gave them the money and said to get a cab. It really made me wondering how aware are we of people around us. How willing are we to help? The sc

Lost

Well, anyone who knows me knows that I'm always lost! But I will share the story about my trip to the White Plains Galleria. I was about 18, so of course I knew everything! I took Lee and her mom with me to go Christmas shopping. We left before noon time and we were going to get lunch at the mall...I was driving my Chevy Citation...so proud of my "new" car. Well, Julie had written directions for me and to my defense I did read the first part. She said "take the Taconic", well that was all I thought I needed to know until I got to White Plains, so I threw them in the back seat and away we went. There was music and laughter....until we got to the White Plains exit and I asked Lee what the next part of the directions were. Of course we realized I had gone way too far and somehow needed to find a way to turn around. Being a bit of a timid driver, this was near impossible. So a few turns here a few miles there, we ended up in Connecticut! To this day I have no idea h

The Engagement

Well - mine of course would have to be our engagement, when dad couldn't find his way to the City to propose to me, made me cry, turned around and brought me to my girlfriends and then practically threw the ring at me. That was lovely! Of course, my funniest lost story is when me, jess, aunt julie and katie were coming back from picking up Jessy's wedding dress at David's Bridals in Danbury and for some crazy reason we ended up in White Plains. We didn't even realize that we exited 84 to get onto 684 and didn't realize we were headed to White Plains until we ended up IN White Plains. We laughed so hard. By that time of course, we had to get some gas. Don't forget to vote in my polls to the left. Ahh - Jess said Charly cries where her cereal bowl is empty -- just like her grandma - LOL!

Memory: The Mall Trip That Never Was

Image
Jess and I were in high school, and it was the perfect evening to go over to the palisades mall ( only a 45 min drive from our house). I had never been there on my own, but knew for the most part where I was going. Mom kept saying, "You'll see it on your right hand size" "You can't miss it". She lied!! I had gotten 3/4's of the way there. I was on the palisades parkway. I knew i had to be close. So I just kept driving, listening to my music, jess sleeping in the seat next to me. I had driven way too long, and decided I should turn around because I had probably missed it. So this time, I turn around, turn the music down (because that's what lost people do) and slowed down. I drive until i get to where I almost started on the parkway. I see no big mall, no signs for a mall...nothing! Now I'm getting mad!! I turn around again. Jess is up at this point, trying to help in anyway she can. I am now FLYING down the parkway because the 45 min drive had tu

Surprise

Hello my extended family! I absolutely love reading your blogg and staying in touch with all of you! I hope I'm doing this right...let's see...I love, of coures, reading any postings that Jeron writes. I had no idea he was having to head out again for more training. See...I have to read your blogg to find out what my son is doing! And, Jess...I'm so glad you enjoyed your visit to our house...BESIDES THE DRAMA (sorry cutie). We feel the same...it gave us a wonderful opportunity to get to know YOU more, which I love. Did you really lose your phone...I've been leaving lots of messages on it just saying how much we miss you! WELL...let's see if this works...LOVE TO ALL OF THE HETTINGERS. You're an awesome family, and we are honored to be a sub-part of it! :-D KISSES TO MY BEAUTIFUL CHARLY!

NO SUGAR!

Stace and I are making a deal of no sugar until Memorial Day weekend. It's not too far off. Anyone want to join us?? I already did no diet Coke for about 4 weeks now and I don't even miss it.

FEELS GOOD TO BE BACK!!! (jeron)

Well, its me again, and i hope you all enjoyed my greeting. I like reading all the blogs with mess. They are very good bedtime stories ha ha. I didn't mean that in a bad way!!! Ok, i just got out of the field last week and it feels great, but today i recieved some bad news saying that the maintanence team (which is me and the guys) are going to the field again for Dismount training. Dismount training if you didn't know is when a convoy of vehicles is attacked or on patrol and the vehicles can't go any further or the orders are attack and defend on foot. this training is to prevent soldiers from getting hurt on the way out!!! Crazy stuff. Well, were going saturday morning and leaving sunday night. Then after that we have to have another full week of stressful work. To tell you the truth im getting sick of this army stuff. But i gotta deal with it beacause it is my job. It gets to me because i try to stay serious and positive while putting up with all my superiors
hello all you crazies i know you missed me! we'll to be honest i have been a busy busy bee... and havent even touched my comp till a few days ago... plus Jeron and i have been enjoying eachothers company since not seeing eachother for 2 weeks. It makes me wonder how i ever survived all those months without him. I do love that boy so what's been up since i last posted.... hum.... well i went to utah with charly... and stayed with the in-laws for a few days before staceys graduation.... It was really nice being there. Minus the drama, it was a relaxing stay and i felt like i really got the chance to bond with them. They are great people..... I am so lucky to have in-laws that i get a long with so well and who love me for me. Then i saw the rest of you guys... It was A fun filled day.....but i was sad it was such a short visit.... I can't believe stacey has graduated college... and is already a school teacher.... My how we are all growing up :) After Utah i went home to ny....

Let's give this a shot

OK, I'll try...but I'm not much of a writer. Let's see what's going on with me...We finally finished our patio this past weekend! You have no idea how horrible it was last summer to be in this house with no place to be outside. I couldn't stand it. We love to sit by the firepit and hang out all weekend and we just couldn't. It will really be different this year! The pool is also ready to go...anyone want to come swim? Katie is coming out in just over a month...I can't wait! I'm going to try and convince Michael to take her other ticket, but I know he's busy...so we'll see. Krystle is turning 13 this month...man, I'm old! It's crazy how time flies. It really makes you appreciate each day. I'm still at my job at the x-ray lab and Brian is still at the airport...we don't like change I guess. So, that's it for now...we are all good! Thanks for inviting me!!!

Did You Think This Dance Was Too Sexy???

A New Life In Maryland

Image
So...I offically will be a high school teacher at Liberty High School next August. Today I called and accpeted the position. You have no idea how excited I am!! I will get a steady pay check!!!! WOW! I get to live with the man of my dreams, and we get to start a new life together in Maryland. I get to teach my Food classes, and maybe even start a dance club. It all just worked out perfectly. I feel completly blessed. So You Think You Can Dance Starts NEXT WEEK!! That's my next dream to pursue! I really feel like God really does have a plan for all of us. He knows when to test our patience, and really require us to have faith. I have felt so anxious to know where I was going to be next year, but it really allowed me to rely on Him, and to read my scriptures and to pray. I wanted to be worthy of my blessings as best I could. I am really thankful for knowing that I can turn to God and that he does answer prayers, even if its in His own time. Good luck Bry and Kristie. We will all be p

Monday

Image
Well, I went the ARC and uncle isn't fired. In fact, they want us to apply for Development Disabilities (OMRDD) so he can even get more help then he is getting now. I was so thrilled about that. I feel it's an answer to prayers. He is going to be going to a group with the girls from his job and some guys to talk about dating and relationships. I feel like middle school all over again. But I am happy for the support. I can't imagine the next life, and who he will be, I mean I know he will be the same person, but without his limitations and I wonder what he will say to me. Dad and I are thrilled with our canopy over our deck. We got a fire pit for the lower deck and we sat there tonight and watched the sun set. Some guy came to give us an estimate for the pool installation, but he didn't seem too thrilled. So we'll see what progress we make. Bry - dad loved the youtube you sent. You can post YouTube on the blog, did you know that. And he is jealous of the

Mother's Day Chopper

Image
Well yesterday was Mothers Day, and I hope you all had a good one. So, we were all sitting around playing games yesterday morning and we get a surprise visit from Kenneth. So, we all start talking and chatting and I wonder outside to look at Kenneth's bike, and I see this chopper in the driveway. I told Ken that, that wasn't his bike. But he said it was. So finally he said that he rented it. It was so cool, we all got a chnace to ride it, it was a sweet ride. We took some pictures of it. So anyway that's pretty much it, talk to you guys later. -Bryant

Mother's Day Card! (Stacey)

This is the card that dad got mom for Mother's Day. He's such a stud. "This is what I see when I look at you on Mother's Day... I see a remarkable woman with a kind and caring heart, who is beautiful in every sense of the word. When I look at you, I see a smile that lights up the room, and laughter that is truely contagious. I see strength and wisdom beyond anything I have ever know. I see love-pure and true, compassion and thoughtfulness. I see a woman who walks through this world with gentleness and grace I admire you for all that you are, and all that you do. You are everything wonderful in this world and if it had just one wish it wouild be that you can see what i see when i look at you" Nice huh? Well Its nice being home for the weekend, just hanging out. I feel 100% better. I really think LAURA AND AUNT JULIE need to add to the blog!!! they always read, but they need to add a post! That's just what i think! Well adios! Jake comes to Maryland in 11 days!!

Quite a Day!

Well, today was the day that daddy promised me. To do yard work....and the weather couldn't have been better. Of course, we had to get up at 7:15 to get to Walmart, the bank, MacDonald's, the pool place, then we didn't have any more room left in the truck. We went home and worked out butts off. I even did some chipping of the brush from our trees. Two firsts for me this weekend - yesterday event in the cementary and chipping brush through the chipper. Stace is home for the weekend. Didn't pay any attention to her yet. But it's great to have her home. Tonight we went to Calls and then to the Hettingers. We laughed our heads off as usual.

moms, muffins and mono

actually mom....i hate to be tickled!!! anyway... I'm sooo happy its Friday! I made over 100 dozen muffins in the past three days in my classes. I thought my mother's day muffin idea would only interest a few people; teachers and some of my students...but no, apparently EVERYONE in that school loves muffins! But luckily it was a big success. I think the students were proud of themselves, and that's what i like to see. So basically, no one show me any muffins in the next year. That would be great. So, I did all those muffins feeling like crap. When I over do things, and don't get enough sleep, my mono symptoms come creeping back into my life, sore throat, swollen limphnoids, headache....so it's been a rough week. I'm going to NY for the weekend, and excited to just relax with the rents and moosey. It it much needed right now. Well fam, if you need muffins, i'm not your girl. HAPPY MOTHERS DAY, expecially messy and mom, two of the best. love ya all... stacey p

Slow Week!

Image
Well - it's been a slow week on the blog. Stacey's been sick, Jess has been in NY and I have just been busy and tired. But it's nice to hear from Bryant. Tonight me and dad went to look at pools. It would be nice for him to have in the summer when he comes home so hot from work. Of course, it would have been nice for you kids to have growing up....but it didn't happen. Aren't you glad we didn't spoil you though?? It would just be a round above ground. Dad would love an inground, but I am sure there is a price difference. Duh! Jess and Charly went back this morning. Charly is such a happy girl. She loves to be naked and tickled. Doesn't everyone?? Call Grandma Hett this weekend and wish her a happy mother's day --- 226-2269 I am having second thoughts about the Lasik surgery....central air sounds good....but we have to see if we can get it in zones....you know we'll never get it at this rate. Have a great weekend -- and please post!!

We Are Not Missing

Image
We are not missing we just got lost in the land of the mountians. Right now we are homeless looking for a job and a place to live. I have a good prospect in Virginia Beach, so hopefully when we go out next week we will be able to convince them to give me a job so we won't be homeless anymore. While we are here Kristie has a job fo a couple of days working at a reception center cooking food. That's what she loves to do. Last night we ate at the Melting Pot for Kenneth's birthday. It's a fondue resturant, we had a cheese fondue and and an entree fondue and a chocolate fondue, it was really good. After that we went over to his house afterwards and played the new Nintendo Wii. I think I convinced Kristie to get one. So thats what's going on around here, we'll keep you posted on any changes. Love you guys. -Bryant

Dad's Birthday

I was thinking for dad's birthday I want to get him those sneakers that have the wheels on them. Do you think they come in his size? I think so. (I hope he doesn't read this before his birthday). Saturday we are doing work around the house. The willow tree has to be prunned and we are taking the evergreen out I guess. I want to plant some flower beds and hopefully dad can start on the garage doors. Spring is finally here.

Missing

Image
Missing: handsome young man with his very pretty wife. Haven't seen them blog on here in while. Sometimes he has a moustache and beard and sometimes she has red hair or brown hair or pink. If anyone has seen them, please tell them to post! Their family misses them.
