Squeaky Clean Mom's Confession

Make fun of my bubble all you like, but I rather like it!! Oh and this is the worst! I still can't believe I did this. I think I burnt the counter of my friend's home in Bountiful with a pot of popcorn I was making on the stove. Her mother had just had the kitchen redone. I put the pot down and I think I left a burn mark on the counter. I never said anything and no one ever said anything to me. I still feel awful about it to this day. I wish I could do that day over! Oh and I have a few other I could say -- but rather not!

Christmas Was WONDERFUL!

The Whole Fun Family - minus Jeron Santa and me Look at those two cuties!! They loved each other! Do I look happy or what? They still don't realize all those presents were for them! My two little angels! How jammed we were into this house! But how wonderful it was. Dad and I enjoyed it all so much. Next year, though, I think we should rent a lodge or big house!! Each one of you is special to us and each one of you brings something wonderful to our family!!! We love you all so much. Yesterday J...

Shocking Confessions!

So, I am watching a silly show.... "shocking confessions" and I thought I would share some of mine, because now that I'm all grown up and married, they are just silly and I can't get in trouble for them now!! I think we should all dig up some funny confessions from our past and share them to make our little blog a little more juicy! I know you ALL HAVE THEM...even our squeaky clean mom! (i may have shared these before) Confession #1: When I was in elementary school, I didn't want to be in my class for one reason or the other, so I go up to my teacher and tell her that " I am having trouble hearing"!!!! haha! So, she sends me down to the nurse, who then does a hearing test on me and of course I decide that I don't want to be caught lying, so I voluntarily fail my hearing test by pretending I don't hear the noises and tones ringing from the headphones! I'm not sure what happened after that, but I know mom took me to some hearing specialist to g...

Fun Times in ER

I don't know what happened but boy was I sick. I have never felt like that before. The dr. suspects my gallbladder but I hope not. At least they didn't admit me and do surgery. But they were thinking it. Now I just have to go for more tests. We got there at 6:30 p.m. and they released me at 1:30 a.m. But I was feeling great and they gave me a cubbie with a TV so me and dad laid in bed together. What a way to spend a Sunday evening.

Fire at Bryant and Kristie's

Image
Kristie heard screaming at 10 at night and saw this outside her window.....How horrible....Bryant and Kristie and Will are all okay. People were jumping and throwing children down for people to catch before the fire trucks got there. This building shares the parking lot with Bryant and Kristie's building.

More Christ

In Spanish mas means more......so Christmas is more Christ - such a simple way to remember the true meaning of the Christmas. Let's be more Christ-like. More generous with our time, more forgiving, more thoughtful, more understanding.

Uncle's Birthday

Image
This was Uncle's birthday weekend. He likes to have his birthday linger. It started on Friday when I made him cupcakes to bring to work. Then yesterday we went to White Plains to have lunch with Aunt Vicki and John; he was thrilled about that especially that they got him gifts and then today I made raviolis and the Ashworths came over. And he got more gifts. I hope he knows how much he is loved. I think he does. He is really happy. Well, I have to write a book of dadisms. Last night at midnight he came to bed and started to talk about the clothes in the dryer being turned inside out. And he wondered if you put them inside out would they turn right side out? If not, it would prove they had intelligence. He called it a space time continuim!!!! It was an honest conversation, I swear. Of course, I was speechless!

My New Mazda3..... keep blue or get red??

Image
So...... I went to the Mazda dealership to look at an 08 black mazda 3. it was really basic..no power windows, or sun roof or anything. It was ok. But, i really liked the look of the Mazda, so the salesman had me try some other cars. He was really laid back, no pressure AT ALL, but somehow (after 4 hours) walked out of there with a brand new 09 mazda3 hatchback sport. It's 2.3 liter, manual in stormy blue. I really loved the blue last night, but this morning I'm thinking... should I have gone red?? Its not a shocking red, but a darker red. So... I need everyone to go on the website and tell me if I should stick with the blue or ask to switch my car to red. MAZDAUSA.com then click on mazda3 5 door. Thanks guys! and while I really like my new car, I haven't been able to stop talking about my MINI and how much I loved it. Wow.... I'm getting emotional just talking about it! Anyway....so everyone also tell me what a good decision i made, and how much they love my NEW Car!! ...

Debt Elimination Calendar

So I have to admit I have gotten a few small credit cards.....yesterday in Relief Society/Priesthood, the Bishop passed out a debt elimination credit calendar. It works like this The trick is once you pay off your first debt, not to acquire new debt. Use that money to pay towad you second debt and once the second debt is paid, use that money toward your third debt and so on and so on. We also had a lesson in food storage. Ours is so old. I think I still have things with the Grand Union label on them. So we are going to toss it. And make new shelves. Get those buckets from home depot with sealing lids. Stuff like that. Again, the trick is not to go into debt to acquire food storage. Just try doing one month food storage, then add to it. Try going to your Bishop's Storehouse to buy in large quantities and good prices. We also have to redo our 72 hour kits. I think this will be our goal for this new year. I am trying to talk dad into going back to school. I am going to take a class at...
