Uncle's Birthday

This was Uncle's birthday weekend. He likes to have his birthday linger. It started on Friday when I made him cupcakes to bring to work. Then yesterday we went to White Plains to have lunch with Aunt Vicki and John; he was thrilled about that especially that they got him gifts and then today I made raviolis and the Ashworths came over. And he got more gifts. I hope he knows how much he is loved. I think he does. He is really happy.




Well, I have to write a book of dadisms. Last night at midnight he came to bed and started to talk about the clothes in the dryer being turned inside out. And he wondered if you put them inside out would they turn right side out? If not, it would prove they had intelligence. He called it a space time continuim!!!! It was an honest conversation, I swear. Of course, I was speechless!

A Challenge

So Jake and I have been watching a lot of tv and decided to take pick at least one day of the week and not turn on the TV at all. We challenge you guys to do the same. We are going to do Mon ( our fam home evening day). So, we challenge you guys to do the same...no TV, no movies, and no excessive internet surfing for one day a week. Go for a walk, a hike, start reading a book together, clean, make dinner together, do random service for people you don't know, go to bed early! Let me know how it all goes!

hi Ya'll (thats what everyone says here in TX) Jeron and I have made great friends with Vanessa And Eder..... (jeron works with him) They are really down to earth and are SO good with charly. They are our age and both mexican.....(jeron fits right in with them... lol kidding) Last night the 4 1/2 of us went to a carnival.... we all took turns riding the rides and watching charly.... then we all stuffed our faces with corn on the cob, cotton candy (which charly loved), and caramel apples YUMM. we watched all the animals in the petting zoo, got fake tattoos (some things never get old) and just sat and talked. It was so fun. It just made me feel so good.....Just in the sense of me and jeron and charly being our own little family in Texas..... 100's of miles from where we were raised..........being on our own... not depending on anyone anymore.... and being so happy together. I feel like we have come so far from where we were 2 years ago... when I didn't eve...
