Happy Valentine's Day

I hope everyone had a good Valentine's Day. What did you all do? Jake did a good job with Valentine's Day. He hates being put in charge of plans, but I basically made it and I woke up to a nice breakfast, thought out gift and a day spent in Annapolis, an awesome town built in the 1700's that is now full of great shops with all the same old roads and buildings. It was really nice.

But.. I wanted to share a quote I read from "Between Husband and Wife". President Hinckley quotes Jenkins Lloyd Jones:

Through my first year + being married I have learned that love is not always a fairytale...its more like a romantic comedy somedays, a drama other days and a horror film once and a while. lol. As you can see... its a much better story than some fairytale!!!

A Challenge

So Jake and I have been watching a lot of tv and decided to take pick at least one day of the week and not turn on the TV at all. We challenge you guys to do the same. We are going to do Mon ( our fam home evening day). So, we challenge you guys to do the same...no TV, no movies, and no excessive internet surfing for one day a week. Go for a walk, a hike, start reading a book together, clean, make dinner together, do random service for people you don't know, go to bed early! Let me know how it all goes!

hi Ya'll (thats what everyone says here in TX) Jeron and I have made great friends with Vanessa And Eder..... (jeron works with him) They are really down to earth and are SO good with charly. They are our age and both mexican.....(jeron fits right in with them... lol kidding) Last night the 4 1/2 of us went to a carnival.... we all took turns riding the rides and watching charly.... then we all stuffed our faces with corn on the cob, cotton candy (which charly loved), and caramel apples YUMM. we watched all the animals in the petting zoo, got fake tattoos (some things never get old) and just sat and talked. It was so fun. It just made me feel so good.....Just in the sense of me and jeron and charly being our own little family in Texas..... 100's of miles from where we were raised..........being on our own... not depending on anyone anymore.... and being so happy together. I feel like we have come so far from where we were 2 years ago... when I didn't eve...
