Life is Good
So things are going pretty well. I have been thinking of Pres. Eyring's talk about remembering the Lord's hand in our lives. So many times I have. I was wondering if we can share a time when we have felt God's hand.
I was thinking back to when Grandma died. I know it was sad and sudden. But the Lord was with us. Especially when the hospital called to say Grandma was dying and I knew her will had to be changed because I was just at the lawyer's office the week before. No one thought the lawyer would come to the hospital. But I called. And she did. She had the will in "draft" form on the computer and was able to revise it and print it off. She canceled her appointments and she and her paralegal came to the hospital. She asked grandma if she knew who she was and grandma was able to mumble "lawyer." Then grandma asked for the will to be read to her. She liked to be on top of things, even at the end. After the lawyer read the will, grandma signed it. Laid back in her bed and shut her eyes. She died about 1/2 hour later.
I know it was the Lord's hand. Because if I didn't go to the lawyer the week before, I would have never known that it needed to be done to protect uncle. I had also paid her in advance while I was there for the work that needed to be done. I am certain that if I just called out of the blue or she didn't know me, she wouldn't have come. But afterward even the lawyer herself said, "I don't usually do that, but there was something that impressed me that this had to be done, while you were talking to me on the phone." I know that was the promptings of the Spirit.
I love you all. I feel so blessed.
