We Bought A House!!!

Jake and I put an offer on a house last night and found out today that it was accepted! We are sooo excited! Its a cute little cape code, 2300 sq ft, with 4 bedrooms and 1.5 baths. It has a full basement. The back yard is adorable with a big old perfect tree and fenced in yard and bird bath.  There is both a covered patio and deck area. The whole house needs some updating, but we can't wait to put in some sweat equity and make it cute and homey. 

What i love about this house is the fact that I can tell someone really loved that house. They took care of it, and you can just feel it when you walk in. The son and daughter are selling their parents estate, who have either passed on or moved into other retirement community. 

The community is adorable. The house is in Pikesville MD and the community we live in is Sudbrook Park, which is a historic district. They have a community website and newsletter. I read some old ones on the website today and they are soo cute. They write about new births in the area, and welcome new residents and talk about upcoming events and tips for holiday shopping or how to protect your home etc... Each street even has a street captain!!! haha.

So as you can see we are just very excited! Next week we get our inspection! Pray that it all goes smoothly! And if it does.... you all need to come and visit in march after we move in!

WOW- congrats you guys! That is sooo exciting! So can i come and stay in one of your many rooms sometime soon?!? How fun- can't wait to hear how moving in and everything goes!

A Challenge

So Jake and I have been watching a lot of tv and decided to take pick at least one day of the week and not turn on the TV at all. We challenge you guys to do the same. We are going to do Mon ( our fam home evening day). So, we challenge you guys to do the same...no TV, no movies, and no excessive internet surfing for one day a week. Go for a walk, a hike, start reading a book together, clean, make dinner together, do random service for people you don't know, go to bed early! Let me know how it all goes!

i like texas

hi Ya'll (thats what everyone says here in TX) Jeron and I have made great friends with Vanessa And Eder..... (jeron works with him) They are really down to earth and are SO good with charly. They are our age and both mexican.....(jeron fits right in with them... lol kidding) Last night the 4 1/2 of us went to a carnival.... we all took turns riding the rides and watching charly.... then we all stuffed our faces with corn on the cob, cotton candy (which charly loved), and caramel apples YUMM. we watched all the animals in the petting zoo, got fake tattoos (some things never get old) and just sat and talked. It was so fun. It just made me feel so good.....Just in the sense of me and jeron and charly being our own little family in Texas..... 100's of miles from where we were raised..........being on our own... not depending on anyone anymore.... and being so happy together. I feel like we have come so far from where we were 2 years ago... when I didn't eve...
