At the river walk
The roads in Natalia
Me and Delbert
well it's pretty much been forever since i wrote on here... but i couldn't go on without tell you all about our trip to San Antonio/ Natalia, TX
Jeron and Eder had a 4 day weekend.. so we all decided to go to down to San Antonio, Jeron, me, charly, eder, vanessa, and Jackson (a friend of jeron and eder's)
Eder and Vanessa live about 25 min. outside of the city in a teeny town called Natalia.
It was abousolutley something i have never seen before in my life and didn't even knew places like this existed.
The population is 1600, and the percentage of mexican's is 97 %. So you can just imagine the rich mexican culture. The roads were extreemly narrow and hardly paved. All the houses are pretty much in shambles, and there wasnt any laws or any law enforcement untill 10 years ago... and even today no one calls the cops, they just "handle their business themselves" ( as vanessas dad put it)
Eders parents own a resturant where they cook all authentic mexican food. It was a tiny little place with a couple tables in it... and everything on the menu didnt cost more that 3.00.
Vanessa warned me she was from a small town.... but jeron and I had no Idea how serious she was. When we got there we were in such cutlure shock...I feel mean to say it.. but i was kinda uncomfortable, but not more than a few hours later I was Sold.
Vanessas family was so amazing.... they really opened my eyes to see that.... money dosent really matter, where you come from dosent matter, or even how much education you have dosent matter... the only this that really matters in this life is family and god.
Her father Delbert was a true mexican cowboy, big tall cowboy hats, thick mexican Vato accent, he had no education , he didnt even know what i was talking about when I said "the east coast"
but he was smart in his wisdom.. he was like dad, in the way he was always talking about "the bigger Picture" (as he called it)... he was 100% devoted to his children and his wife...
It was such a eye opener to see that the didn't have much, they havent seen much in life, but they give whole heartedly.... it was truly unforgettable... and we will never forget them
anyway.. besides hanging out with them, we all went to The San Antonio River walk... ate dinner at the hard rock cafe, went dancing at a club, and went to sea world.. (for free..such a treat)
i do love it here in Texas,, and i do love eder and vanessa, I couldn't have asked to find better friends than them. i will definatly miss them when we all split up in November.well thats all for now
miss you all
oh..PS.. jeron claims charly took 2 steps today...i cant believe it just yet... perhaps im in denial... haha

Now about that Charly.....took two steps!! What a wild girl! I am so glad Jeron will be around to see her starting to walk. It is what I hoped for. Now remind her to call her grandma!!
