Bypass Surgery

Hey guys! I just got back from my support group for gastric bypass. It started out so great - so many friendly people. Some nice ladies told me to sit with them and I had a nice young near me that was so anxious to lose weight. Then they started to discuss various side effects.....ugh! But in the end, they all agreed that so much better than being overweight. So, we'll see when my surgery will be. Now there is a new procedure called "the sleeve." I need to Google it. Anyway - I am a little nervous and a lot excited. I can't wait to play on the beach with my little grandchildren and ride roller coasters! But for some reason I am craving Capital Grille today!!! Kristie will understand! But I have got to say that the Southwest Salad at McDonald's is to die for. I can only imagine it's a ton of calories. Jess you would love it too, the chicken is yummy. I guess I am just thinking about food a lot today.

A Challenge

So Jake and I have been watching a lot of tv and decided to take pick at least one day of the week and not turn on the TV at all. We challenge you guys to do the same. We are going to do Mon ( our fam home evening day). So, we challenge you guys to do the same...no TV, no movies, and no excessive internet surfing for one day a week. Go for a walk, a hike, start reading a book together, clean, make dinner together, do random service for people you don't know, go to bed early! Let me know how it all goes!

hi Ya'll (thats what everyone says here in TX) Jeron and I have made great friends with Vanessa And Eder..... (jeron works with him) They are really down to earth and are SO good with charly. They are our age and both mexican.....(jeron fits right in with them... lol kidding) Last night the 4 1/2 of us went to a carnival.... we all took turns riding the rides and watching charly.... then we all stuffed our faces with corn on the cob, cotton candy (which charly loved), and caramel apples YUMM. we watched all the animals in the petting zoo, got fake tattoos (some things never get old) and just sat and talked. It was so fun. It just made me feel so good.....Just in the sense of me and jeron and charly being our own little family in Texas..... 100's of miles from where we were raised..........being on our own... not depending on anyone anymore.... and being so happy together. I feel like we have come so far from where we were 2 years ago... when I didn't eve...
